Bumpdate: 37 Weeks

Well, we made it to "full term"! Not much to report here, just waiting on baby. Here is my 37 Week Bumpdate with Charlotte. A lot more eventful than this go round. We moved into a different house when Charlotte 10 days old, which was a huge blessing, but I am so happy to not be doing that this time!

Today I have a doctor's appointment and we will finally check out the hospital and do our pre-registration paperwork, too. Sadly, I've only driven past the hospital, but have no idea where to go when I do go into labor. Once again, second child!

His room is ready, diaper bag is packed, but still need to finalize our bags for the hospital and Charlotte's bag to go stay with her little friend! We also need to get the car seat installed!

How far along? 37 Weeks
Maternity clothes: Yes and I got to wear dresses over the last week because the weather has been soooo nice!
Total weight gain/loss:  up 15 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight! I've gained more than I did with Charlotte and I'm definitely not making excuses, but I have a high level of amniotic fluid that is also a contributing factor. Normal range is 5-25 and last week I measured at 26! I seriously feel like I am about to pop lol!
Stretch marks? Still none! I thought I had one the other day, but it was an indentation from the tights I was wearing! When I woke up the next day it was gone! Continuing to lather up with lotion!
Sleep? I have sadly started snoring (like really loud). Kyle even has a video recording to prove it! It's so bad and has caused me to pretty much have a permanent sore throat. I definitely am not sleeping well. Up 4-6 times a night to use the bathroom and then not being able to get comfortable. Either Kyle or I have been moving to the baby's room during the night, which makes me SO happy we decided to keep our daybed in there!
Miss Anything? Moving, walking without feeling like the baby is going to fall out, WINE!
Movement: Yes, lots of movement.
Food cravings? Girl Scout cookies! Did you know that there are different varieties on the east vs. west coast, also like most things our cookies are more expensive here! Surprise, surprise!
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: Shooting pain down my legs, back pain, my rib isn't as numb constantly which may be a sign he is dropping.
Belly button in or out? Out!
Wedding rings on or off? On, but tighter. I am definitely swelling a little as some of my shoes feel a little tighter.
Happy or moody most of the time? Pretty happy knowing the end is in sight!
Worst moment this week:  Not sleeping very well!
Best moment this week: The weather being absolutely amazing and having visitors in town! We had Kyle's best friend Rob and his girlfriend and Kyle's dad simultaneously, but it was a blast and Charlotte loved all the attention! We did some exploring and spent most of our time outside. If the weather was like this all the time, I could handle living here.
Looking forward to: His arrival! I can't believe we are in the home stretch. This may be the last bumpdate I do!
Labor signs? Things are definitely moving towards that!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Eating too much and getting too full. With all my fluid I already sometimes feel like my stomach is in my throat!
Baby info: He's the size of Swiss chard, weighing in at about 6 1/3 lbs.

Bumpdate: 35 Weeks

35 Weeks
I was super sad as we were taking my 35 week photo, because I had major pregnancy brain and totally forgot to buy a honeydew for these pics! Such is life and and I decided we wouldn't be retaking them, so no fruit this week! :(

Here is my 35 week bumpdate with Charlotte. I think I actually look similar in size. If anything, baby boy looks a little more round and more high.

At this point, I am tired, uncomfortable and complaining a lot. My rib has been numb since Christmas and my upper back has had a constant pain since then as well. I sometimes get a little relief, but inevitably it always comes back. I also was fighting a cold and sore throat over the weekend. With all of that, I am trying to embrace and enjoy the last few weeks of this pregnancy as I may never be pregnant again! Baby boy is super active and I'm just so excited to see his little face! We have a check up today and then I start my weekly appointments. I did have an ultrasound over the weekend for a training exercise. He definitely looks squished in there!

Little face with his hand up by his eye.

Profile! Looks like he is kissing or blowing bubbles
How far along? 35 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  up 12 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight!
Maternity clothes: Yep, it's been chilly too, so just bundling myself up!
Stretch marks? Still none and I am shocked because it is SO stretched!
Sleep? Sleep hasn't been great. I know that when I have a dream, I must have gotten a decent stretch of sleep in. I've spent a few nights in the baby's room because I couldn't sleep or Kyle was snoring. All preparing me for baby, right?
Miss Anything? Wine and being able to touch my toes or bend down to reach things without hurting!
Movement: Constantly moving and kicking!
Food cravings? Love my sugar and sweets, lol! I am obsessed with Double Bubble gum. It has created a bad habit for Charlotte too, she loves gum like her mommy too, but we try to limit it! Anything making you sick or queasy? Public restrooms! YUCK!
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks and the other day at the grocery store I literally had to stop walking, my breath was taken away several times by what I think was lightening. I think this baby is coming early, but that is just me!
Belly button in or out? Out!
Wedding rings on or off? Still on and still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? I'll be happy when I can sit up straight in a chair and not be uncomfortable!
Worst moment this week:  Just being uncomfortable and not able to do my normal duties. I am pretty much always doing something, so to have to stop and lay down because I am in pain is hard for me to accept.
Best moment this week: Kyle got back from his trip to Florida for his grandfather's funeral and we were able to spend MLK day together as a family!
Looking forward to: My sweet friends are throwing me a baby shower this weekend! I am very excited and grateful for them!
Baby info: He's the size of a honeydew melon, weighing in at about 5.5 lbs and his kidneys are fully developed now.
Labor signs? Nothing official yet!

Bumpdate: 32 Weeks

The holidays were super busy and I missed my 30 week bumpdate! Here is my 32 week bumpdate with Charlotte!

All looks good with Baby Boy and he is continuing to grow! At our last ultrasound he was head down and now we go to the doctor every 2 weeks.

How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  up 9lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight!
Maternity clothes: Yes! Got some new ones for Christmas too!
Stretch marks? Not yet! But lately I feel like my stomach cannot stretch any further!
Sleep? Some nights I am up on and off all night. If I can get a 4-5 hour stretch without waking up or going to the bathroom, that is a win!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my back, mobility, working out normally!
Movement: Lots of movement. We had an ultrasound a few weeks back and he is head down! I also know where his butt and feet are!
Food cravings? I'm at the point where it is getting hard to eat and I get full very quickly! Still craving sweets!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Not really, just get full really quickly and then feel uncomfortable and sick to my stomach.
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: The Braxton Hicks contractions have started! The other night I had them all through the night. Labor signs? My chiropractor mentioned that my hips have opened since the last time he adjusted me! Yikes!
Belly button in or out? It is mostly out at this point!
Wedding rings on or off? Still on and surprisingly still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? We just got back from our babymoon, which was a very happy and relaxing time!
Worst moment this week:  The constant back pain and always having to go to the bathroom!
Best moment this week: Having family in town and going on our babymoon!
Looking forward to: Getting the house back in order after Christmas, finishing the nursery, nesting and preparing for his arrival!
Baby info: Baby is 3 3/4 lbs and the size of a large jicama. He now has toenails, fingernails and hair (maybe peach fuzz for my bald babies)

Bumpdate: 28 Weeks

Hello 3rd Trimester! Well things are beginning to get real! My belly is growing by the day and I feel like he will be here before we know it! Here is my 28 Week Bumpdate with Charlotte .

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  up 4lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight!
Maternity clothes: Yep, pretty much live in leggings and sweaters here! It's been cold!
Stretch marks? Not yet! And I need to start remembering to put my coconut oil on!
Sleep? Eh, not the best. We dealt with a chirping smoke detector last night!
Miss Anything? Being able to reach my toes and tie my shoes! My belly definitely gets in the way these days.
Movement: Yep, he officially way more active than his sister! Still trying to figure out his position in there. Ultrasound next week!
Food cravings? I've really been trying to manage my cravings, but some days are easier than others. This week I craved bubblegum and ate way too much of it. It's so good though!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Public restrooms. I don't know if it is California or I am just sensitive, but the bathrooms here are gross. I try to avoid them at all costs, but with a toddler and pregnant woman that is near impossible.
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: Low back pain, some headaches, but overall doing pretty well!
Labor signs? Not yet! I think had started having Braxton Hicks at this point last time!
Belly button in or out? In shirts in looks like an outie!
Wedding rings on or off? It has too be the cold weather, but I am seriously about to stop wearing my rings because they literally just slip right off. It's bizarre, because you would think at this point they would be tight!
Happy or moody most of the time? Its a toss up. Some days are better than others! Being pregnant with number #2 is definitely a different ball game when you are caring for another child. There are just not enough hours in the day.
Worst moment this week: On Sunday I had tennis elbow and was in the absolute worst pain! I had never had it before and it was so painful! I didn't fall asleep until midnight because of it! We also had our doctor's appt. cancelled on Tuesday because the ultrasound tech was sick, so that was a bummer, but we will go next week!
Best moment this week: Getting dolled up and attending the Grand Winter Ball last Saturday and having the appraiser tell me that I was the prettiest Realtor he has ever met! :) Lol, he knew how to make a pregnant woman's week!
Looking forward to: Family will be here soon and Christmas! I am definitely stressed with all that we need to get done for Christmas and the baby, but Charlotte is so excited about everything this year and that makes it really fun!
Baby info: Baby is the size of a large eggplant, weighs 2 1/4 pounds and can blink!

Bumpdate: 26 Weeks

I'm late on my posting again, but such is life! 27 Weeks today! I did snap this pic earlier this week! Not much to report here, except a growing bump! Here is my 26 week bumpdate with Charlotte!

How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  up 2 1/2 lbs!
Maternity clothes: Bought a couple more things and continue to find things in my closet that work well. I definitely am feeling that my belly is bigger this go round!
Stretch marks? Not yet!
Sleep? Tired and not sleeping the best. Some days are better than others!
Miss Anything? Family and Florida. :( I enjoy it here in Monterey, but I am missing parts of "home" for sure.
Movement: Lots of kicking at all times of the day! I think he is going to be a busy body like his sister!
Food cravings? I bought Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal at the grocery store yesterday! What is wrong with me?! I continue to crave sweets! It is so terrible!!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Smells have been bothering me more lately. I feel like I can smell everything!
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: The usual!!
Labor signs? Not yet!
Belly button in or out? Almost an outie!
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose-- I can't believe this!
Happy or moody most of the time? I've been moody. Tired, back has been hurting and feeling big!
Worst moment this week: Just feeling uncomfortable, not being able to do normal things and constantly getting out of breath! I feel like I am 3x my size sometimes!
Best moment this week: We finally ventured to Santa Cruz on Veteran's Day and had the MOST amazing ice cream, Charlotte started swim lessons and is doing so well and we sold some furniture (Charlotte's crib and a bedroom set) to make room for baby! We also ordered some new stuff! I'll be lucky if the nursery is done by the time he arrives, lol! Oh and Charlotte was talking to him the other night and said, "You're my best friend". She does say this to a lot of people, but I thought it was sweet!
Looking forward to: Family coming to visit next month!!!
Baby info: Baby is the size of a scallion. He's about 1 2/3 lbs and can hear our voices now! So sweet, because Charlotte has been talking to him!

Bumpdate: 24 Weeks

I'm a little late on this post! I will actually be 25 weeks on Saturday! With daylight savings time it was hard to snap a pic before it was dark outside. I had a checkup on Tuesday that went well! The baby is super active, more so than Charlotte, but I just remembered last night that I had an anterior placenta with Charlotte, so I didn't feel as many kicks! Next week I'll go for my gestational diabetes test! Here is my 24 Week Bumpdate with Charlotte, I kind of popped from 23 to 24 weeks with her too.

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  up 1 lb. !
Maternity clothes: I got my bins down and I'm so happy I did! I am sleeping better at night now that my pants don't cut into my bump! I also forgot about some cute things that I had in there!
Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep? I'm sleeping ok, nothing great, but I guess it could be worst. In bed extra early ever since daylight savings time! It's the worst and gets dark SO early!
Miss Anything? Since I alway say wine, I'll skip that this time and say, exercising without getting out of breath. I do a class at the gym almost every Monday and this past Monday I just could not catch my breath, also a lot of the exercises are getting harder to do. I love being active so that is hard for me. I ran the other morning and got through it pretty well with the help of some friends!
Movement: He is way more active than I remember Charlotte being. Kyle FINALLY felt him a couple nights ago, so that was really cool! Charlotte loves talking to him. Another child at school touched my belly and said, "baby" and she said, "Hey, that's MY baby brother". WATCH OUT!
Food cravings? Kyle and I had a stomach bug last Friday and I could hardly eat anything at all. Well I was back to my normal self by Sunday and craving all things! Currently craving CARBS! Charlotte and I made chocolate chip cookies on Sunday and they have been calling my name, every day!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Not really this week.
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: No new symptoms per se, just the usual back pain, belly is starting to get tight.
Labor signs? Not yet!
Belly button in or out?  A few more weeks and will probably be an outie!
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? Tired and cranky sometimes. Happy when the weather is warmer and the sun is out. Those days are becoming more rare, so I am VERY grateful for them!
Worst moment this week: Don't really have a worst moment this week.
Best moment this week: Celebrating Halloween with our neighbors and friends. Charlotte had so much fun! We are lucky to have such great friends here in California. Definitely makes being "away from home" a little easier.
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving will be here soon and starting to plan our baby moon!
Baby info: Baby is the size of an ear of corn. He is about a foot long and 1 1/3 lbs.

Bumpdate: 22 Weeks

Another 2 weeks have flown by and it's time for another bumpdate. I am really starting to look pregnant these days! Here is my 22 week bumpdate with Charlotte! Ahh, I miss that view in Hawaii!

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  I am officially back at my pre-pregnancy weight!
Maternity clothes: I still haven't gotten my bins down, but really need to work on that. Also need to shop for some new workout pants!
Stretch marks? Not yet!
Sleep? I've been going to sleep pretty early. I fell asleep one night last week around 7:45 while we were laying in bed watching a movie! I'm definitely more tired at night!
Miss Anything? I really can't sleep on my back anymore, which isn't a problem, but I find myself moving back and forth between sides throughout the night and then have to readjust all of my pillows! And of course my wine!
Movement: Yes, he is very active. Kyle still hasn't been able to feel him, but sometimes my belly will move when he kicks! It is really cool. I wish I could bottle this feeling, it is really like no other!
Food cravings? I won't lie, I crave the worst things! I don't crave anything healthy and thinking about it makes me feel queasy, lol! But I did eat a salad for dinner last night! I'm trying to give myself a little grace with eating and foods!
Anything making you sick or queasy? I'm recovered from my cold and haven't had any heartburn since then! I am SO thankful!
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: I finally went to the chiropractor last week. I saw one during my pregnancy with Charlotte and that really helped! I am hope this helps my back and also my shoulders and neck. I've been really tight there. Labor signs? Not yet!
Belly button in or out? My belly is getting really hard on top of my belly button.
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? Now that I am past being sick, I am feeling happy.
Worst moment this week: Can't think of anything!
Best moment this week: Running my entire 5k. I love running, but it has become a little harder for me now that I am further along. I get winded easily and I have to go to the bathroom the entire time! It's not as enjoyable, but I pushed through on the race we did on Saturday and was happy!
Looking forward to: Kyle's dad is coming to visit and Charlotte is SO excited! We are also going to see Disney on Ice this weekend! Also looking forward to Halloween next week! Excited about our family costume!
Baby info: Baby is the size of a large mango! He is about 11 inches and 1 pound! Aww!! He's also developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums!

Bumpdate: 20 Weeks

Well, we are halfway through this pregnancy and I cannot believe it! Here is my 20 week post with Charlotte and at that point, I had already finalized the nursery design and ordered all of the furniture! Oh how things are different for Baby #2. I have purchased a crib, but it is still in the box, in the garage! Hopefully we will get to work on HIS room soon!! Yes, I can finally confirm (via ultrasound and seeing his parts) that we are indeed having a BOY! Of course, we knew from the blood test back at 11 weeks that the baby was a boy, but I just had a feeling it was wrong. I'm happy to say it was NOT!
It's a Boy!
The past two weeks have had some highs and lows. I visited Vegas for the weekend with my mom and sister for a girl's weekend and we had the MOST amazing time. Being pregnant in Vegas was definitely interesting, but I still had an awesome time despite not partaking in all of the festivities. If you are ever there, I highly recommend seeing Celine Dion. She was amazing.

I came back home the Sunday that the Vegas shooting occurred. It was absolutely tragic to wake up and see what had happened and so surreal that I was just there. Thank you again to all of those who reached out to check on me.

The next Monday morning it was time to go on my first field trip with Charlotte! We had a blast, but I also think that may have been where I picked up some germs. By the time Wednesday evening rolled around, my throat was starting to ache and I knew sickness was coming on. I woke up Thursday with a sore throat, congested and miserable. Friday was bad too. So bad I had to cancel Charlotte's riding lesson (which killed me) and to add to the chaos, Kyle was sick now, too. On Friday, my heartburn also started and my back was killing me. It was my first "bad day" of being pregnant so far. Which I realize I CANNOT complain about.

I hoped and prayed Saturday would be better, but honestly it was pretty bad, too. Sinus pressure like you can't even imagine and of course I can't take anything. My doctor said Tylenol and nasal saline spray. I've also been diffusing oils round the clock and taking loads of Vitamin C.

Fast forward to today and I am finally on the mend! Thank goodness! I hope the colds/sinus issues stay away!

Today, we had a checkup for Baby Boy and also had his anatomy scan. His scan went really well and all is good. I was told Saturday at a training ultrasound that I participated in, that I had marginal cord insertion in my placenta. Which means that instead of being in the center of the placenta, it is more on the edge. So of course I googled it. BAD IDEA! Thankfully my doctor confirmed today that I do have a more off center insertion, but there is no reason for alarm now. We will likely just track baby more to make sure he is growing and receiving enough nourishment from the placenta, which means more ultrasounds (so I am not complaining).
Sweet little face with his foot in front of his face! :)
Now onto to the stats!

How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  I am officially one pound under my pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes: I just told Kyle a few days ago, it is time to get the maternity clothing bins down! My pants are tight along my belly and a little uncomfortable.
Stretch marks? Not yet!
Sleep? My neighbor gave me her pregnancy pillow and that has been super comfy to sleep with. Last pregnancy, I used a body pillow. I'm still getting up multiple times a night to use the bathroom. Our little monkey has decided to sleep in a little bit longer, sometimes even until 7:30, so we have been super lucky in that respect!
Miss Anything? Being able to take meds when I was sick! Some Advil Cold & Sinus would have been amazing the last couple of days!
Movement: Oh yes! I also think that you can see/feel it from the outside. Last night, Kyle and Char were huddled around my belly trying to see/hear/talk to the baby. It was so sweet!
Food cravings? I went a couple weeks without a hotdog, but got my fix yesterday! Yum! I have been cautious as to what I am eating because last week I started getting heartburn. It was miserable!!! Last week I lived on Cold Cure juices from Whole Foods. They are $7 each, but it was literally the only time I felt good.
Anything making you sick or queasy? When I had heartburn and my cold last week, I just wanted to curl up in a ball! So miserable!
Gender: Boy! And we just confirmed that he is, in fact a boy, at our anatomy scan!
Symptoms: Maybe TMI for some of my readers, but this morning, I was just telling Kyle, I don't know how my boobs can get any bigger! Not sure if this is a sympton of second pregnancy or that I have breastfed before or what, but WOW! I feel like all the weight I have gained is right there, lol. Obviously had the heartburn, some low back pain, but for the most part, all is good.
Labor signs? Not yet!
Belly button in or out? Getting flat, hard and shallow!
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? Now that I am past being sick, I am feeling happy.
Worst moment this week: Being sick! Kyle was sick too, so we were just pretty miserable. Charlotte was understanding though and tried to help take care of us.
Best moment this week: Seeing little guy on the ultrasound.
Looking forward to: The Navy Ball this weekend! Excited for a fun night out with friends and getting dolled up! Of course, I will be the designated driver! :)
Baby info: Baby is the size of a banana!

Bumpdate: 18 Weeks

Another 2 weeks have flown by and I am really starting to look and feel pregnant, especially at the end of the day! My belly is definitely more hard and round. I am continuing to feel good and once again feel so blessed! I am still running and exercising 3-4 times a week, although I definitely have to  make a few more bathroom breaks than usual. Check out my bumpdate from when I was 18 weeks with Charlotte! I am definitely showing a bit more with Baby #2!

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  I gained weight! Thanks Disneyland! Still down 3 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight!
Maternity clothes: Nope. My lululemon leggings are getting a little tight!! Will probably break out my maternity pants/leggings too!
Stretch marks? None
Sleep? My energy has definitely come back! I feel like I am sleeping less and not as tired. Also napping less! I definitely need to rest up before the dreaded no-sleep with a newborn stage! Oh and a new development. I can no longer sleep on my back. It literally hurts and is so uncomfortable. If I find myself on my back, I actually wake myself up. It's really strange and uncomfortable!
Miss Anything? I didn't go on any of the rides at Disneyland. Just the small ones with Char! It was fine, but  I do love Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain!
Movement: The movement and flutters are definitely happening! It really feels real now!
Food cravings? Still getting a hotdog once a week from Costco and love Jolly Ranchers. I actually have been craving apples, too! I also started thinking about Poptarts and happened to find the Annie's Organic brand at Costco. I scooped up a package and haven't looked back since. Char and I share a 2 pack almost every morning. So good!
Anything making you sick or queasy? I got Shrimp & Grits at a restaurant last week that came highly recommended. They were terrible and nothing like how southern Shrimp & Grits should taste. I actually thought I may get sick at the table. The shrimp just didn't sit well with me. I don't think I'll be able to go back to that restaurant now!
Gender: Boy! Anatomy scan scheduled for 2 weeks from now!
Symptoms: Sore boobs, headaches, lower back pain. Labor signs? Nope. Starting to think more and more about it, though!
Belly button in or out? Getting flat, especially when I lay down.
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy! We had a great Fall break at Disneyland!!
Worst moment this week: Having to come home from vacation! We had a blast! Loving see the magic and awe through Charlotte's eyes!
Best moment this week: Disneyland with my family!
Looking forward to: Girls Weekend wth my Mom and Sister, all things Fall and more Gator Football!
Baby info: Baby is the size of a sweet potato.  He weighs about 7 ounces and is about 5.5 inches long. He can flex his arms and legs, which explains the movement I am feeling!

Someone wanted to be a part of the bumpdate fun!

Until next time!

Bumpdate: 16 Weeks

The past 2 weeks since my last bumpdate have flown by! Here is my 16 week bumpdate with Charlotte! It's crazy how similar the bumpdates are! We were just getting settled in our house in Hawaii at this same time in my pregnancy! This afternoon we have another check up for Baby Boy!

How far along? 16 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  Still haven't gained any weight yet and down 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes: Not yet. Clothes are definitely fitting differently and in tighter things I just look like I have a tummy. I'm excited for my bump to be more defined. :)
Stretch marks? None
Sleep? Now that I am in the second trimester, I do feel like I have a little more energy and that I am not as tired. I usually take naps with Charlotte on days she is home, but I usually work during this time, too, and get in a 15-20 minute catnap. Charlotte is up like clockwork between 6:00-6:30am, so I try to get to bed early.
Miss Anything? We went to an evening event at the Aquarium and it would have been really nice to have wine or a cocktail, but only a couple more months right?!  I did have one bite of sushi at a baby shower on Saturday. The mom-to-be is Japanese and made the sushi herself, so I felt safe having a bite, knowing she made it! It was so good!
Movement: My app says I could be feeling movement at this time. At church this morning, I think I felt him during the worship music (it's pretty loud) so maybe it woke him up!
Food cravings? Since my last bumpdate, I've added a new one. Thai food, specifically yellow curry! I allow myself one hotdog a week when Charlotte and I make our weekly trip to Costco on Thursdays. The food court staff know us by name there! One thing I have learned here in California is that people aren't talkative for the most part. We've made lots of friends out and about just by saying hello to people. It's a foreign concept here! Also, sour cream and onion Pringles. I just sent Charlotte and Kyle to the store to get some. Charlotte LOVES them, too. Kyle can't stand them.
Anything making you sick or queasy? I've been feeling pretty good! Still experiencing some headaches, but really can't complain.
Gender: The Harmony test says Boy! Hopefully soon we will be able to confirm via ultrasound! :)
Symptoms: Really sore boobs (this seems to have gotten worst), belly is hardening, lots of visible veins lately! Lots of blood running through me, I guess!
Labor signs? Not yet! Beginning to think about a birth plan for this baby. You can read more about my birth story with Charlotte here.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On and still loose!
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy! Feeling settled and excited to be working again. We have gotten into a great routine so far. I know that is only going to last so long because baby #2 will throw any and all routines out of the window.
Worst moment this week: Dropping my phone (again) and having the screen shatter. Waiting patiently for the new iPhone to come out.
Best moment this week: Taking Char to San Jose to get her playhouse! She was so excited!
Looking forward to: Kyle's fall break from school and our trip to DISNEYLAND! I don't know who is more excited, Charlotte or me!
Baby info: Baby is the size of an avocado (yum)! He weighs about 3.5 ounces and will double his weight in the next few weeks. His heart is pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day and his toenails have started growing!

Until next time!

Bumpdate: 14 Weeks

This pregnancy is truly just flying by! I was 14 weeks on Saturday and all is going well! I feel great for the most part, just a little tired and then I've been battling some headaches almost daily that are not so fun!

In comparison, here is my 14 week post from my pregnancy with Charlotte!

How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  down 5 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes: Not yet! My sister gave me all of hers before we left Florida which was great! She was pregnant during the winter so has lots of long sleeve and pant options!
Stretch marks? None
Sleep? There have been some nights where I have literally gone to bed at 7:30 and I literally cannot keep my eyes open. I have gotten some really bad headaches during this pregnancy and sometimes the only thing that helps is sleep. I'm already having to get up multiple times per night to use the bathroom. I can't believe it! Everything happens much quicker on the second go around!
Miss Anything? Wine! We also had a lunch date to get tuna poke the other day and of course I couldn't have it! :(
Movement: I didn't feel movement with Charlotte until about 17 weeks. I definitely feel pressure and can sense where he is, but maybe I'm crazy!
Food cravings? Hotdogs (yes this a new one), Jolly Ranchers (only Watermelon and Strawberry flavors) and donuts from the most amazing donut shop, Monterey Donuts!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Sometimes I am not hungry for dinner. My appetite is different, but my food aversions are not as bad as last pregnancy.
Gender: The Harmony test says Boy!
Symptoms: Really sore boobs, headaches, just a tiny bit of morning sickness on some days, but no vomiting thank goodness!
Labor signs? Nope
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On and very loose! Kyle loves to remind me I'll be swollen soon!
Happy or moody most of the time? Mostly happy. Feeling settled in our home and so happy to have passed my real estate licensing exam!
Worst moment this week: Waking up at 4am to drive to Oakland! I survived though!
Best moment this week: Sharing our news that we are expecting a baby boy!
Looking forward to: The return of Gator football and the long Labor Day Weekend!
Baby info: Baby is the size of a lemon! He can now squint, frown pee and suck his thumb! Aw!

Until next time!
