35 Weeks Bumpdate!

Another week closer to Miss Charlotte gracing us with her arrival! This week I started my weekly doctor's visits and we are finishing out our classes at the hospital! We had a great tour last Thursday and the nurses and staff are all super friendly! The unit is rather small, only 8 rooms, but the rooms are spacious and are very nice! They also have you stay in the same room for labor, delivery and recovery which I think is really nice!

Kyle's command had another "Hail and Farewell" for those joining and leaving the command. It was Hawaiian themed, hence our attire! This top was the only thing I could find that was remotely "Hawaiian". The lunch was catered by Dixie Grill, a BBQ restaurant, and it was so yummy that we actually went there for lunch the next day!

Hail and Farewell for Desron 31
Yummy Southern Lunch at Dixie Grill!
Kyle's command took a photo last week, so I thought I would share! You can see his command is alot smaller than the previous one of 250! This is Destroyer Squadron 31 in front of the Arizona Memorial.

Getting bigger each week!

Sleep? Ahh, it gets worse each night. I would be lost without my body pillow though!

Miss Anything? Central AC and the conveniences of mainland life!

Anything making you sick or queasy? Thinking about getting an epidural... Yikes!

Worst moment this week: The waiting game! When will she arrive?
Best moment this week: Getting the electric bill for our AC! We were so scared it would be $1000 because of the energy charges here, so we cautiously ran the AC. But now, we don't have to worry about running them and they've been going almost non-stop and I'm still hot!
Looking forward to:  Ultrasound and weekly appointment on Thursday, final week of our hospital classes and prenatal massage on Saturday!
Baby info: She is a large cantaloupe and is about 20 inches and 5.5 lbs!

34 Weeks and Birthday Weekend

34 Weeks! I cannot believe I've been pregnant for this long! It has seemed like an eternity at times and seemed to fly at other times! Probably because we have been all over the place ( Florida, Virginia, Florida and Hawaii)! It has been quite the adventure!

This week we celebrated my 26th birthday and like most people say, birthdays get less and less "fun" as you get older! As I creep closer to 30, I try to remember that I'm getting older and wiser, right? Needless to say, I felt very loved on my birthday! From cards, texts, messages and a "happy dirthday" video from my nephew, it was a great day! (He sings to Mater first in the video)

On Saturday, Kyle made breakfast and we opened gifts and then went out on the boat to the sandbar on Kaneohe Bay.  We went with our friends Adam and Kelanie! Kelanie is my Gemini twin and her birthday is the day after mine! Like anything here in Hawaii, as we were driving to the boat the clouds got thick and it started to rain. The same thing happened when my family was here and we had horrible weather for the 4 hours we were on the boat! :( I tried to be optimistic and slowly the weather got better and the sun came back out. We were having a great time, then I started to feel seasick. I went onto the sandbar to try to get on stable land and started to feel better. I got back on the boat and was sick again to the point of no return and tossed my cookies. It was no fun, but I have to be grateful as it was only the 2nd time I've thrown up this pregnancy!
On the boat with Macey Jane and Maverick!
After the boat, Kyle surprised me with dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Kalapawai! Our friends Amanda and Brett came too! Amanda is also pregnant, so there is never a dull moment with us girls! We had a great dinner! On the menu was Watermelon and Avocado Salad, Sweet Potato and Goat Cheese Ravioli (yes it was pasteurized) with Brown Butter Sauce and Salted Caramel Gelato for dessert! When we arrived, the hostess informed us that someone had called in a gift certificate for us! Such a sweet surprise from my sister and brother in law!

With my beautiful flowers, sweet cards and Princess Macey Jane! :)

Maternity clothes: I'm running out of options... but I don't really want to buy anymore maternity clothes!
Stretch marks? Not so far!
Sleep? Still getting up early, but sleeping better some nights. I would be lost without my body pillow!

Miss Anything? The usual!
Movement: Lots of movement! She was very quiet after I got sick on the boat and I was worried, but then just when I start to worry, she kicks me and I am reassured!
Food cravings? Popsicles are my new best friend! I get the fruit ones and they really cool me off!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Ugh, going on a boat! I should have known better!

33 Weeks Bumpdate!

This week we started our classes at the hospital! On Wednesday night we took a breastfeeding class and on Thursday we started our month long classes called "The Castle Experience". Castle is our hospital and they offer the classes to help you know what to expect during birth and your stay at the hospital. Just after one class, I already feel more confident in everything! I also know that if I want Popsicles during labor, I have to bring them because they don't have them! Crazy, huh?

On Saturday, we went up to Haleiwa on the North Shore. I had only been once ( on the bus tour I did) and it was Kyle's first trip! It's about an hour drive from Kailua, but so worth it! We had dinner at Opal Thai (supposedly the best Thai on the island) and also stopped at an ice cream shop before watching the sunset on the beach. Kyle took some great silhouette photos and we talked about Charlotte. When will she arrive? Who will she look like? It's getting so close and so real!

How far along? 33Weeks

Miss Anything? This week... Chipotle and of course family and "home"
Movement: She has the hiccups as I write this!
Food cravings? Nothing in particular, just pretty hungry all the time!

32 Weeks Bumpdate

This week went by quickly with Monday being a holiday! My bible study group at church surprised with a baby shower on Wednesday! We had fun playing a few games and they gave me lots of good advice too! I received some adorable outfits, lots of books and diapers too! It was a great time!

How far along? 32 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 1.5 lbs this week for a total of 9.5lbs!
Maternity clothes: As I write this, I am sitting in my bathing suit! Haha, anything goes here in Hawaii and the less clothes, the less hot I am! :)
Stretch marks? I can't see below my belly button anymore, so I asked Kyle and he can't see any! Hope it stays that way!
Sleep? Ehh, not a great week for sleep. Up at 5:30 this morning and up yesterday morning with the worst charlie horse of my life! No fun!

Miss Anything? Regular food (is this a common theme of my pregnancy or what?)
Movement: Lots and sometimes it is starting to hurt! Her foot gets lodged in my rib and it is so painful!
Food cravings? Pretzels and cheese and anything cold!
Anything making you sick or queasy? Hmm not really!
Gender: Girl! :) Miss Charlotte! :)
Symptoms: No Braxton Hicks in a while. I guess that means I am doing a good job resting! (or being lazy!)
Labor signs? Not yet!
Belly button in or out? Still in. But really looks like an outie in all of my shirts!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time?  Happy
Worst moment this week: Getting an email from our landlord that she plans to sell our house! :( We think we are in the clear until January (when our lease ends), but if it sells, we will probably have to move in January with less than 6 months left on the island and a 6 month old! No fun!
Best moment this week: Having a relaxing weekend with no plans and working on Charlotte's room! We are almost completely setup!
Looking forward to: Our hospital classes start on Thursday and I have a doctor's appointment as well.
Baby info: She is a still a head of lettuce! :)
